We are always delighted to see many of our clients come back to us time and time again. So when we were asked to produce some more books for the Historical Geography Research Group, we were more than happy to help.
The Royal Geographical Society (with the Institute of British Geographers) is the UK’s learned society and professional body for geography, founded in 1830. They are world leaders in advancing geography, supporting its practitioners in the UK and across the world. The Historical Geography Research Group is one of its largest research groups. As such, its international standing and reputation needs to be upheld at all times with high quality, accurate and impeccably produced publications.
Working directly with Alastair Owens of the School of Geography, Queen Mary, University of London, we took on the brief for 300 each of two separate books, “The Historical Geography Research Group: A History” and “Collaborative Geographies: The Politics, Practicalities, and Promise of Working Together”.
Each book is A5 sized, printed with gloss laminated full colour covers and internally black and white print. They were needed for their annual conference in London, held back in August, so the deadlines were not to be toyed with!
We were sent PDFs of the pages required, which we proofed, edited where needed, printed and delivered. The client was absolutely delighted not only that we got them there on time, but with the high quality finish of the books produced on such a tight budget. Alastair commented, ‘Working with Victoire Press was a real pleasure. They were friendly, helpful and extremely attentive, offering a brilliant service at a good price. My academic colleagues were thrilled by the high quality and professional look of the printed books’.
We take great pride in our work, and always ensure that our clients are always just as proud to have their name on the items we produce on their behalf. We will always do whatever we can to meet a brief, respect a budget, and surpass your expectations.
