Staff Q&A :-Lyn Gentry

Published on Tue 16 Feb 2010

Lyn has been with Victoire for 3 years in her role as administrative support, although the job title does not do her justice. Lyn is generally the first person callers will speak to when contacting Victoire. With more than 20 years experience in the printing industry she has become a great asset to Victoire in assisting our sales and production teams. If she cannot be presented with a big fat cheque she would rather write a saucy novel about Spiderman coming to her rescue on the desert island although arachnids being her biggest fear, it would more of a horror for Lyn!

How did you get into printing?

An old friend and I had both just moved with our young families to a new area and we were looking for a part time challenge. On the basis that almost all businesses use a printer all we needed to do was master a printing press. I have never looked back.

What would be your favourite piece of print?

Obviously,a nice fat lottery cheque but I have always fancied writing a saucy novel so my name on a book jacket would be great (or my pseudonym if its too saucy!)

What food do you dislike?

I would never taste eel or tripe but I can’t really think of anything that I don’t like.

Favourite Sandwich?

Cheese and onion toastie, mmmmmmmmmmmm!

What was the last film you saw at the cinema?

I took my husband to see the latest Harry Potter in August – we had pick ‘n mix and everything!

What's you favourite TV programme?

Any old reality rubbish, QI and Mock the Week. I can’t watch sport on TV.

What's your favourite album?

Probably ‘Woman’ by John Lennon although I haven’t listened to it recently.

What's your greatest fear?

SPIDERS!

What is your greatest luxury in life?

Holidays are my luxury. If I could have clean sheets very day at home, that would be heavenly – there’s nothing nicer than slipping into freshly laundered bedding.

Who would you like to be stuck on a desert island with?

Gareth, the choirmaster, is quite cute but a bit small so I’d have to say … Spiderman
(he’s sexy and would be able to get us off with a massive web!)

Who would be your ideal party guests?

Stephen Fry, Ann Widdecombe, Cheryl Cole, Gok Wan and my son, Dave.
