The demise of print has been greatly exaggerated if the latest announcement by surfing website Drift is anything to go by, reports printweek.com.
The website has produced its first hard copy edition in an attempt to reassure potential advertisers. Managing editor Howard Swanwick explains:
"People in the surfing sector were unsure of advertising on the digital edition of a magazine while the print version offers familiar ground. You know what you're going to get.
"In order to be understood more thoroughly and have a bigger impact, we simply had to move into a printed version."
The 140 page title will be released on a bi-monthly basis.
